Counting Pastoral Livestock for the First Time in History: Join the 2024 Census

India’s historic decision to count pastoral livestock in the 2024 census is a welcoming step towards recognizing the rights and contributions of pastoralists. This initiative is crucial for advocating for better access to resources and support for pastoral communities. We urge all pastoralists to actively participate in this important census, as your involvement will help ensure that your livelihoods and cultural practices are properly documented and valued.

A guided Medicinal Walk will be conducted to explore the surrounding flora and identify medicinal species, highlighting their role in local folklore and traditional remedies. Hands-on activities will demonstrate the utilization of different medicines, promoting experiential learning and showcasing ancient practices.
